It's a wonderful cook book full of great recipes. The colorful, simple and delicious looking pictures makes it easier to decide which dishes to try first. Usually with cook books, it never turns out the way it's suppose to look like when you finally try it, but not with this book. It's pretty detailed. The author has made sure there is little chance that you might go wrong. This is the kind of book that I will always be confident to refer to when I try something new for the first time. Lots of great recipes with clear instructions. I'm a novice cook at best but found this book easy to follow. The food is delicious and nutritious -- great value!
Having just returned from a 2 week vacation in the Maldives,the unique culinary flavors of this beautiful country are still fresh in my mind.
I wished to find a Maldivian cookbook to recreate some of the delightful dishes we shared with our family and friends back home in the US.
The recipes are plentiful with clear, easy-to-follow, instructions and the photography is stunning. Not only are the end results of each dish shown, but most of the preparation and cooking steps are photographed as well.
I'll update when I actually cook some of the recipes, but even if you never cook a single recipe in this book, it is an excellent memoir of our culinary journey into this unique culture.
