In Denial A friendstolovers gay romance edition by Devyn Morgan Romance eBooks Reviews
I loved In Denial. I loved the storyline and the characters. I loved the chemistry between Tony and Bobby. I loved that Tony and Bobby have grown up together as best friends and that they spent the summer apart and when they come back together as roommates for their freshman year at college both are surprised at the changes to each other’s bodies. Tony has put on a lot of muscles and is very sculptured, and Bobby has filled out and become muscular and sculptured in his own way. Tony’s favorite new addition to Bobby is his new sculptured behind that all of his squats has developed. I loved how awkward Bobby and Tony are together at the beginning of the school year and how neither knows what to do with their growing attraction to each other, especially when they both think the other is straight. Tony knows that he is gay, but he hasn’t come out to anybody or dated any guys. In high school, he dated and slept with lots of girls so that nobody would know that he was gay. Bobby has been so focused on getting good grades that he never had the time or the inclinations to date or sleep around. He did have a couple of girlfriends but never really felt any sparks. He definitely feels a spark for his best friend Tony, and he just has to find out if Tony feels the same way. I loved that they both are superstar football players and that Bobby has headed to college looking for new opportunities while Tony only wants to become a professional football player. Bobby is super smart, and Tony doesn’t believe that he is smart at all. I loved that Bobby is going for a business degree, and I loved that he convinces Tony to go for a degree in physical fitness as a personal trainer as a backup to being a football player. I loved when Bobby learned that Tony was gay, very hot scene and how accepting and comforting Bobby was. I loved when Bobby told Tony that it wouldn’t change their being best friends at all. I loved that Bobby now feels comfortable expressing his new feelings for Tony. I loved getting to see their relationship unfold, and I loved when Bobby expresses his feelings of unhappiness that their relationship was in the closet and how he wanted to have a public relationship with him. I loved that Tony chose Bobby over his potential career as a football player. I loved that Tony didn’t blame Bobby for him getting beaten up by some of the football team and that they made it so that he couldn’t be a professional football player anymore. In Denial is an awesome book that you should definitely read. I received this free book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an exceptional book to read because it addressed many issues of being gay and though not mentioned, could include all hate crimes. The book is a gay romance to be sure, but it is also the first book that I have read so far that addresses violent crimes against gays and encouraged the reporting of said crimes. In other books the perpetrator is let go because everyone is too happy to be alive to follow through with reporting the crime. Thank you Devyn for showing readers that is is ok and the right thing to do to report crimes. Because, yes, if someone gets away with it once there is not reason that they won't do it again to another innocent victim. Now off the band wagaon. This was a really sweet, loving romance with hot sex straight to gay sex, angst, violence against gays, loyalty, learning that when one door closes, another one opens family support and love. I would recommend this book to anyone to read. It was both entertaining and thoughtful.
The book is badly written. Maybe as the author matures and creates a story using descriptive and adjectives and not just plain word a story will develop.
Shows that two manly men can make it as well as two girly men.
A beautifully told story. A must read
I enjoyed reading this book it really showed how love between friends can be so much more if you give it a chance
Really liked the book, with a cute storyline. Coming of age, getting a degree and with the new development in US, nice to see a novel that takes the crime against LGBTQ+ serious and gives the punishment as well. Recommended! A bit sad that it's so short. ..
These boys thought they knew where they were going when they headed off to college, but their hearts lead them in a different direction. Towards their best friend. With all the love and support of family these boys learned that their future was taught through life not books. They found that their future was with the each other.
Building a lasting love from the solid foundation of a life long friendship is the running theme of this delightful story. Though there was a hate crime that changed the course of Tony's career choice, he and Bobby worked together to find the perfect solution and their HEA.
